Domain 2- The Environment

    Domain 2 covers the environment of the library media center. It is the library media specialist job to create a welcoming academic environment for all students and staff. This sets the stage for learning to commence throughout the school year. There are basic ground rules to follow as in any classroom. The physical layout of the environment is one in which all individuals regardless of physical mobility, can feel comfortable and independent in their search queries and academic needs.
This section of the portfolio will exhibit examples of this domain.

 

Domain 2 also includes aspects of the Library Media Specialist when acting as the Classroom Instructor.  The two sample pieces that follow represent this aspect of the domain.
